In one corner stands a guéridon probably made in Rome, from
the bequest of the sculptor Cincinnato Baruzzi.
This small table has a marble foot decorated with acanthus leaves and a
circular top in polychrome mosaic, with spiral motifs and a central
scene showing a lion fighting a dog.
These objects, imitating themes and techniques taken from antique
tradition, were very popular in Rome in the first decades of the 19th
century.
