The wooden 16th century ceiling, partially restored in 1934-35, is decorated with winged putti, grotesques and with the coat of arms of cardinal Pier Donato Cesi, vice legate from 1560 to 1564 and legate from 1580 to 1583.
The two painted overdoors come from Palazzo Ranuzzi. Friars Giving Alms is a copy of a painting by Giuseppe Gambarini, made by Antonio Crespi (1712-1781), son of Giuseppe Maria, a specialist in copies and genre scenes.
On the opposite overdoor is a Country landscape  with figures that can be ascribed to the Bolognese school of the mid 18th century.
